Intellectual Property Boutique Firm

Shilon Zuckerstein & Co. is an Intellectual Property boutique firm focusing exclusively on IP and IT law including patents, trademarks, design patents, plant patents, plant breeders’ rights, copyright, IT law, commercial law and litigation. We assist individuals, businesses, and clients of foreign law firms in protection of their intellectual property assets in Israel and abroad including combating piracy, transfer of technology and franchising, etc.

Our offices are conveniently located in the heart of the Israeli businesses and law nexus, in the 19th floor of the Azrieli Center Round Tower.

1. It’s very inexpensive. Filing a patent or trademark application in Israel costs less then in most countries. Filing procedures requires practically no administrative work to the foreign representative – Filing in English is allowed and no changes are required in the wording of the originated application.

2. Enforcement is very efficient and easy. The Courts are very pro-patents and pro-trademarks. Preliminary injunctions are often granted within 1-3 days!

3. The examination procedure is simple. Official actions are usually resolved quickly and are far less complicated than in most other countries.

4. You can skip examination (!) and immediately be granted an Israeli patent if you have been granted a patent in 17 countries including Europe, Germany, the United States, Austria and others. Israel also has a Patent Prosecution Highway with many countries, including PCT-PPH.

5. Israel’s economy is flourishing. Significant economic reforms have been instituted and the market is growing very quickly.

6. Israel is a great market. Israeli consumers, who enjoy an increase in personal incomes, are always eager for new brands and novel products.

7. Israel is a huge R&D center, one of the largest in the world, and is often called “the Start-up Nation” and “the second Silicon Valley”. Hundreds of new start-up companies with exciting technologies are established here each year.

8. Israel is a member state in most IP related international treaties including the Paris Convention, the PCT, and Madrid Protocol.
As a member of the PCT and WTO and signatory of the Paris Convention, TRIPS, the Berne convention and many more (listed below), Israel enjoys the full array of IP protection including patents, designs, trademarks and copyrights.
